F451 pages 126-137
I thought that the most interesting part of this reading was when Montag was crossing the street and was nearly hit by the crazed teens in the car. I think this sort of highlights what the children of the society are like; living for fun, doing anything for a laugh or quick thrill. They were planning on hitting Montag without a care that they would be ending his life, without a care for his wife or possible kids. He could have been the president of the United States and they would have ended his life in a second. and for what? fun? So they could have a quick laugh? Along with the nothingness in these people's lives, their perspective of what is important, and moral sense of right and wrong are blown completely out of porportion. They really just don't care.

I agree and also thought this was an interesting part of the book. It really shows how different our society is from theirs. Not only did I think it was crazy that they kids wanted to run over Montag for a quick thrill, but that they were minors. I really like how you described it though along with lauren i think this is one of my favorites entries of yours.
